Vanity
Is it human nature to be vain?
My recent observation was that every time a person passes by a window or anything that reflects their image, they will not hesitate to take a peek at themselves. It seems we can't help ourselves but to look at ourselves whenever the opportunity arises.
Narcissist. In the Greek mythology called a guy named Narcissus became so obsessed with his own reflection as he kneeled and gazed into a pool of water that he fell into the water and drowned. In some variations, he died of starvation and thirst from just sitting by the edge of the pool until he gave out, gazing at his reflection until he died.
Habit or vain?
I wonder, could anybody go a day or two without looking at themselves. Not a single reflection at all. I think not, as there will always be a little narcissism in every one of us. Whether we admit it or not.
